
Manila, Philippines — In recognition of the municipality’s successful compliance with all ten core areas of the SGLG Assessment and Validation, a feat that underscores its excellence in local governance, Luna, Apayao had been conferred the prestigious 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award in a ceremony held today, 09 December 2024 at The Manila Hotel Tent City.
Municipal Mayor Josephine M. Bangsil, accompanied by Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Joan-ana J. Dumalsin, proudly received the award on behalf of the municipality. The accolade reflects Luna’s dedication to transparent, accountable, and efficient public service delivery.
The SGLG, awarded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), is the highest recognition given to local government units (LGUs) for exemplary performance in key governance areas. It also serves as a benchmark for LGUs nationwide, promoting innovation, collaboration, and adherence to high standards of governance.
Luna, Apayao’s achievement reinforces its role as a model municipality, not just within the province but throughout the country.
