
LUNA, Apayao – The new courthouse of the 4th Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) serving Luna, Pudtol, and Calanasan was officially inaugurated and turned over by the Office of the Apayao Congress and DPWH in a ceremony held today at San Gregorio, Luna, Apayao.
The event was graced by the Luna municipal mayor Hon. Josephine M. Bangsil, who personally witnessed the significant milestone for the justice system in the province. In attendance were the representative of the Lone District of Apayao Hon. Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang, DPWH-Apayao district engineer Engr. Ronalyn P. Ubiña, provincial prosecutor Hon. Jhon M. Aguda, Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 26 acting executive judge Hon. Marvin P. Aniceto, Pudtol municipal mayor Hon. Hector Reuel D. Pascua, Apayao Police provincial director, other municipal circuit presiding judges, as well as representatives from the provincial government, national line agencies, barangay officials headed by punong barangay Hon. Amelita Pariñas, and local constituents.
The new facility is expected to improve access to justice and provide a more conducive environment for court proceedings. Hon. Amy I. Alafag-Verzola, the 4th MCTC presiding judge, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their collective efforts in realizing the project, emphasizing its importance in strengthening public trust in the judiciary.
