Manila, Philippines – Municipal Mayor Josephine M. Bangsil, Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Focal Person Jackie Lou D. Garcia, and Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Joan-ana J. Dumalsin of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Luna, Apayao, received the prestigious 2024 Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Award during a ceremony held today, 11 December 2024 at the Tent City, Manila Hotel, Ermita, Manila.

Luna’s exceptional commitment to the national anti-drug campaign has been consistently recognized, earning the municipality the Regional ADAC Performance Award from 2021 to 2024. Adding to this streak, Luna has once again made its mark on the national stage, receiving the National ADAC Performance Award for the second time—first in 2022 and now in 2024.

The award recognizes local government units that demonstrate exemplary performance in implementing anti-drug programs, policies, and initiatives. Luna’s achievement highlights its sustained and collaborative efforts to maintain a drug-free municipality through effective governance, strong community engagement, and strategic programs aligned with national objectives.

“This is not just an award for Luna’s leadership but for every member of our community who has worked tirelessly to create a safe and drug-free environment. Let this inspire us to continue our efforts,” the mayor said crediting the accomplishment to the unwavering support and dedication of Luna’s residents, local officials, and partner organizations.
