Luna is endowed with vast and fertile lands suitable for farming, livestock and poultry production, orchards, and other types of plantations. Inland waters for fish production also abound in the municipality. About 89% of the labor force is directly involved in farming, thus, agriculture plays a major role in the lives of the populace and a vital factor in the development of the municipality.

Farming is the major occupation of the people of Luna especially on rice and corn farming. It has about 4,646 hectares which are primarily planted to various agricultural crops like rice, corn, vegetables, water melon and root crops and other crops with high commercial value.
