New Barangay Health Station Opens

New Barangay Health Station Opens to bring Healthcare Closer to Residents
In a major boost to community healthcare, the local government and the Municipal Health Office officially inaugurated the newly constructed Barangay Health Station (BHS) in Barangay Shalom last July 9, 2026.
The project was successfully completed through a collaborative funding initiative under the Department of Health’s (DOH) Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) and a counterpart fund from the Local Government Unit (LGU). The new facility is designed to provide accessible, primary healthcare services directly to the residents.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony and inaugural program were attended by Vice Mayor Zaira Erika Caluya, Sangguniang Bayan members, Jonah Grace P. Verzola, the Municipal Health Officer (MHO), Charlyn B. Tagabing, the Development Management Officer V from the Provincial Department of Health (DOH) Office, the Liga ng mga Barangay (LNB) President, Amelia Garde, as well as Punong Barangay Ruben Bas-angan and Barangay officials.
The Barangay Health Station will be staffed by a dedicated midwife and barangay health workers (BHWs) ready to serve the community.
