NAMRIA Validates Apayao Datasets in Luna
The LCE Januario S. Garde and MPDO Milflorence A. Villafuerte, with National Mapping and Resource Information Authority personnel Cecil Enaje (Team Leader), Ma. Victoria Abordo, Juan Paulo Balais, Mario Gabriel Orantian, and Maria Jasmine Peralta.
NAMRIA paid the local chief executive a visit as they came to Luna on July 8, 2026, for the field validation of Apayao datasets output.
The National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) is an agency under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) tasked with providing the public with mapmaking services and acting as the central depository and distribution facility for natural resources data in the form of maps, charts, texts, and statistics.
These maps (datasets) are essential for the municipality, not just as a geographical reference, but also as an indispensable tool in almost all aspects of service and governance, which encompasses infrastructure, tourism, environmental planning, disaster mitigation, rescue, and other developmental purposes.
The municipal government, in its partnership with and availment of the services of these technical arms of the National Government, shows its commitment to technical and scientific laying out not just its physical maps but its developmental roadmaps as well.
