Luna, Apayao – As advocate of quality healthcare among residents, Mayor Januario S. Garde encouraged the attendees of the YAKAP CARAVAN activity to register to the program to avail its benefits.

‘’Dakkel ti tulong na daytoy nga programa iti Phil-health para iti salun-at, agregister kayon ket ipadamag yo kadagiti kakalugaran tayo daytoy, tapno ad-adu pay ti mabenisyaran,’’ mayor Garde said when he met over 100 residents at the MDRRMO on Friday, September 26.

According to CSIO PhilHealth-Apayao head Sherwin Jay R. Torreliza, their office target is at least 10,000 beneficiaries or half of the town’s population. In his talk, he explained the advantages of being a member, urging the residents to respond to the chance given them.

‘’Once registered na kayo, you will have numerous benefits including cancer screening, up to 70 types of medicine worth P20,000 and other relevant healthcare services from Health providers, including the RHU,’’ Torreliza said.

The nature of the YAKAP program for health, underscored the health officer, is preventive, adding that the Caravan shall be brought to other barangays to register more residents as the office’s action to the mayor’s request.
