LGU Luna Attends Disaster Resilience Month Event

In observance of National Disaster Resilience Month this July, the Cordillera Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) urges all stakeholders to take action and actively support government programs that drive disaster resilience.
The Council emphasizes the need to understand disaster risks, strengthen disaster risk governance, invest in risk-reduction strategies, enhance preparedness for swift and effective response, and implement “Build Back Better” principles in rehabilitation and recovery efforts.
Mayor Januario S. Garde, MENRO Mr. Daniel Jose M. Viernes, and Admin Officer V Mr. Jayheart D. Tumbaga joined the event at Baguio Crown Legacy Hotel, Kisad Road, Baguio City on 13-14 July 2026.
This year’s theme, “Naghahanda at Kumikilos Tungo sa Panatag na Pilipinas”, underscores collective commitment to disaster preparedness, safety, and resilience. It highlights the concrete steps already being taken by individuals, communities, and institutions nationwide, while calling for continuous improvement, shared responsibility, and sustained collaboration across all sectors.
