Joining the bandwagon of good governance, LGU-Luna was hailed as one among the 359 municipalities in the country to receive the Seal of Good Local Governance from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) last November 29, 2017, at the Manila Hotel.
The municipality, receiving its second seal of this prestigious award, claims to have gone through the rigid preparation and finally through the assessment from the validators of the award-giving body, under higher standards set last year.
Accordingly, LGUs must comply and pass the ‘4+1’ assessment criteria to be entitled with such recognition.
“With a massive hard work and dedication of the entire institution, it’s worth the prize to be recognized as one of the top-performing municipalities not only in Apayao but even in the whole country,” said MLGOO Marybeth Micu.
“We strongly believe that this is not only for prestige but more importantly, the commitment to serve the community with quality service from the government that matters the most,” Luna Mayor Josephine M. Bangsil added.
